At Help Inn Folk, this has been an extraordinary year. In a short span, we've worked diligently to become the top choice for many of our referral partners. Our success is a testament to the dedication of our hardworking team. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our referral partners, volunteers, associates, and supporters—your unwavering encouragement means the world to us.
During this festive season whilst were in the warmth of our homes, surrounded by the love of family and friends, it's easy to forget that not everyone shares in the same abundance of companionship. Let's be mindful of our neighbors facing homelessness in our community this season.
We encourage you to consider extending a helping hand to bring them some joy, whether it's through a simple gesture like offering a blanket, a warm meal, or engaging in a heartfelt conversation. Your small act of kindness can make a significant difference in brightening someone's holiday experience.
Here are a few simple gestures:
A kind word, or an invitation to share in the festivities.
Organise a small gathering for those in your community.
A potluck dinner, a movie night, or even just a friendly visit can bring comfort and warmth to those who need it most.
Volunteer with your local charities and organizations that support those in need.
Donations or acts of kindness.
We can make a positive impact on the lives of those facing hardship this holiday season.
It's through our collective efforts that we can create a sense of belonging for everyone, cultivating a community that stands together in both joy and sorrow.
Empty Chair...
This Christmas, let us open our hearts to those who may be grappling with the ache of an empty chair at the dinner table, a void left by the absence of a loved one.
Loss is a heavy burden to bear, and the holiday season can amplify feelings of isolation. We encourage everyone to reach out to friends and neighbours who may be navigating these challenging emotions.

Help Inn Folk received invitations to numerous events throughout the year, and we are truly honored by the recognition. Engaging with advocates, grassroots organisations, and individuals with lived experience of homelessness is crucial to enhancing our ability to serve the community effectively. We express our gratitude to Continuum Of Care for inviting us to participate in this year's conference and extending an invitation to attend their Christmas Sneaker Ball. Thank you for the opportunities to connect and collaborate for a shared mission.
We were honoured to collaborate with New Life Baptist church and serve the local community Christmas dinner. Those that attended stated it was a fantastic day and were overjoyed to be part of such an amazing day.
Help Inn Folk also served Christmas dinner with The Gathering Spot. The nominated charity was 'Tender' which supports single mothers. www.Thetenderfoundation.com

As we bid farewell to 2023 with this final newsletter, I reflect on a truly remarkable year filled with personal growth, overcoming challenges, travel adventures, and significant milestones. It's been a journey highlighted by stepping into the limelight, securing valuable contracts, nurturing relationships, celebrating victories, and honoring the memory of those we've lost.
In this year of growth, I am profoundly grateful for our current position and optimistic about the path ahead. With the guidance of divine Providence, we are committed to continuing our mission of aiding those experiencing homelessness. We firmly believe that having shelter, clothing, and nourishment is a fundamental birthright that we strive to fulfill for every individual in need.
Thank you for the tremendous support we've received from individuals like you in the community.
Your generosity and commitment have fueled our mission and brought about positive change in the lives of those we serve. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to express our deepest gratitude for standing with us throughout the year.
